2014: Another record-breaking season

Come experience the ultimate fishing adventure

Alaska's Kodiak Island Resort

Looking onward to the 2015 season

The 2014 season promises to be even better than our last. We have

many new features being put into action, one of which will make

travel to Kodiak Island Resort easier.  We now have contracts with

two established flight services, which will allow our guests to charter

and fly directly from Anchorage to the lodge, eliminating the previous

need for stops in Kodiak city before reaching us in Larsen Bay.

Additionally there will be limited regularly scheduled flights to and

from the lodge to Anchorage.

Call today for more information regarding these new and

convenient ways to get to the lodge.

2014: Another record-breaking season

2014 was the most successful season in Kodiak Island Resort history. We hosted

more families and groups than ever before, and set several lodge records for

biggest fish. In June, Henry Harten of Azle, Texas  caught the largest King Salmon

ever taken at our lodge, a 39 pound 4 ounce whopper. Henry's record stood less

than one hour as Ken Carson of Fort Worth landed a 41 pounder and the third

largest yelloweye rockfish caught here.

Other highlights.....

Gerry Jones of Jackson, MO caught a 277 pound halibut in late August for our

season's biggest. Silver Salmon were late to arrive this season but were caught in

good numbers.  The major highlight was the late run of King Salmon. In addition to

our strong run of Kings in May and June, the Kings returned in abundance in August

and September. There were several days when we limited out on Kings before

getting limits of Silvers in August. We certainly hope the Kings will put on a repeat

performance in 2015.
